The Vintage Curator

A home is never quite finished.

The Vintage Curator is a home and interiors journal for people who like things with a little history: a useful chest of drawers, a quietly beautiful pot, a chair that belongs in a corner before you can quite explain why.

Our interest is in living with these pieces. A home does not need to look like a showroom, a museum or a single decade. New and old can sit comfortably together. A modest object can be worth keeping because you enjoy using it.

Look closely. Choose slowly.

The journal follows five subjects: furniture, objects, interiors, buying and care. Some articles begin with a room; others begin with a practical question about a drawer, a shelf or a listing photograph. Each is intended to help you make a more considered choice.

We use “vintage” broadly in an editorial sense. It is not a guarantee of age, authenticity, origin or financial value. A name on a label and an attractive patina both deserve questions.

A useful starting point

Our articles offer general information and styling ideas. They are not valuations, authentication reports or individual conservation advice. When an object is fragile, valuable, potentially unsafe or simply unfamiliar, a suitable specialist is the better place to start.
